The Rhythm Section
The Vocalists |
The Horns
The KJB are fortunate to have the services of a fine Rhythm section.
Thomas Brennan - Guitar
Thom first developed a love for performing live music within the Brass Band scene in Cheshire aged 11. At 17 he converted his passion into a career by enlisting into the British Military as a musician. During this fabulous 23 year career he toured the world (at least twice) and has been lucky enough to share the stage with many famous artists such as Status Quo, Bonnie Tyler, Jonny Logan, Roger Whittaker, Vera Lynn and most recently Jools Holland. When Thom isn’t gigging with KJB you can find him playing Bass Guitar and French Horn in musicals and Orchestral concerts around the county. Thom can also cook, knit and Juggle to a good standard!
Martin Budgett - Keyboards
Martin has always enjoyed a very varied musical life specialising as a French horn, keyboards player and conductor of orchestras and choirs. Having completed BA and MA Music degrees in Cardiff, he entered the teaching profession. His hectic career as a Head of Music and instrumental teacher, Opera Chorus Master and conductor has also included wide experience as a qualified Outdoor Pursuits instructor. Now on his second Deputy Headship he is still enjoying life making music in Norfolk, including playing organ for his local Church. Somehow his beloved wife and daughter still put up with him mixing music, work and his other passion of sailing!
Pete Eagling - Bass
Pete has never played with anybody remotely famous, done nothing impressive or played to any vast numbers of people.....but really enjoys what he does, and hopes that it shows.
Pete however has a hidden talent - he is a very experienced trombonist!!
Kevin Bell - MD, Drums, Percussion
An accomplished percussionist, Kevin is also the powerhouse behind The KJB, providing the majority of the arrangements we play.
With a long history of gigging in Holiday Camps, backing cabaret and as a bandleader, Kevin brings a lot of experience to The KJB.
Mike Lynn - Sound & Lights
Mike has been engineering for many years with shows such as We Will Rock You and Les Mis with Schools and local Amateur Dramatic groups and being part of the sound crews on shows such as Starlight Express at the Theatre Royal Norwich. His claims to fame are engineering for funny duo Cannon and Ball and Manfred Mans Paul Jones.
